Touro College Los Angeles welcomed its first class of students in September 2005. Touro L.A. has been growing in numbers and has had over 100 students enrolled since its opening. Touro College Los Angeles is the only WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 985 Atlantic Avenue, #100, Alameda, CA 94501; tel. 510-748-9001) accredited orthodox college in the region. Credits achieved at Touro are generally transferable to other colleges and universities. Touro also accepts transfer students with a 2.5 GPA or better.
Touro College Los Angeles currently offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Teacher Enrichment courses and Pre-Speech Therapy courses are currently being offered as well. As the school expands, more degree offerings are planned. Touro L.A. affords students the opportunity to combine Judaic studies with quality liberal arts and pre-professional courses in a supportive, Torah-observant environment. Judaic Studies classes include; Tanach, Halacha, Jewish Philosophy and more.
Touro College Los Angeles is located at 1317 North Crescent Heights Boulevard in West Hollywood and is in close proximity to Hancock Park, the Fairfax district, Beverly Hills, Pico/Robertson, and North Hollywood. Being centrally located, Touro Los Angeles is a convenient school for many members of the orthodox community living in or around the Los Angeles area. The College provides an attractive and viable educational option for West Coast students and families.
