Hi, and thanks for the nice website. you've done a pretty god job. I'm a Kabbalah student with none-Jewish background. I have Presian Bahai background; don't define myself as a follower of any organizational religions, though adore and apply many mystic paths in my life including Tao,Zen and Kabbalah. I live in Australia and I wonder if there are any Persian Kabbalah students out there I can contact and talk to or maybe make friends with (living anywhere in the world). I also wonder if there's any chance to read about Kabbalah in Presian or in English but in Iranian Jewish websites!(I mean from Iranian Jewish perspective)I'd really like to get more information about the history of Kabbalah in Iran. we have a 2500-year of jewish history in Iran, so there should be a vivid history of Kabbalah in Iran as well, especially when Iranian Jewish people are called Sefaradi!
thanks for your time,
Roozbeh Roozbeh,

Thank you for your question. Traditionally, the mystical study of Kabbalah has always been in the framework of Jewish practice and learning in conjunction with all other aspects of Jewish studies including the Torah and the Talmud. It is held that to fully grasp the power of kabbalah all major sources of Jewish learning should be mastered. And this is the view of traditional Jews regardless of there orgin.

However, recently, due the extreme interest in the subject, simplified texts that explain some basic kabbalistic concepts. One of the foremost Sephardic Kabbalist has written: http://www.eichlers.com/Product/Books/Kabbalah_&_Mysticism/Ascending_Jacobs_Ladder_-_Rabbi_Yaakov_Hillel_-_Essays_on_the_Fundamental's_of_Jewish_Life_-_Shabbat,_Festivals,_Prayer,_and_More__%5BHardcover%5D_227-0.html

And Chabad has put out a commenty on Jewish Mystism translated into english:
