With over 300 in attendance, Sunday's fundraiser to help endangered Jews living in Northern Israel was a true success. The event was a collaboration of over fifteen Jewish Iranian youth organizations in the Los Angeles area. Being organized in less than two weeks, the turn out was a true show to how united the community was to help there Jewish brethren in Israel.

The room was filled with dignitaries such as Los Angeles City Councilman Jack Weiss and Public Affairs Director of the Israeli Consulate Gilad Milo - among others. There were also many of Los Angeles Jewish religious leaders in attendance, including Rav David Shofet of Nessah Synagogue, Rabbi Daniel Bouskila of Sephardic Tifereth Israel Synagogue, Rabbi Baruch Amiri of Yachad Outreach Center and Rabbi David Lololyan of Heichal Moshe. There was even a show of support of the Christian community with involvement in the event including Pastor's Roger Cochran, Lorraie Coconato, and Devin Dieckilman.

One hundred percent of the of all of the evenings proceeds will be sent to a special fund set up Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. This special fund was designed to help get 7,000 children in Israel into summer camps and out of harm's way. It will also re-settle the disabled and home-bound elderly so they can be cared for, and it will retro-fit the bomb shelters so they are more livable. For more info click here.
