Poem: My Ideal Gift

My ideal gift from you my dear husband is .....

Knowing that you care to know me for who I am
Knowing that no matter how I look you still love me
Knowing that our love is sacred for you
Knowing that our love is not only based on sex
Knowing that when I am tired you are there to help me
Knowing that listening to me is as special as holding me
Knowing that when you come home and dinner is ready that you care about my effort
Knowing that I am not here only to serve you and raise our children
Knowing that we are going to raise our children together
Knowing that once our children leave my relationship with you is going to blossom
Knowing that you are the one I am going to grow with
Knowing that my presence in your life matters
Knowing that you truly feel I am the only one for you
Knowing that when I make a mistake you will be there to comfort me
Knowing that you are not going to criticize me for my shortcomings
Knowing I will always be in your heart
Knowing when you leave in the morning you look forward to return home
Knowing that your job is source of income not your purpose in life
Knowing that I am a priority for you the same as you are for me
Knowing that being alone with me in the world will be a fantasy and not a nightmare
Knowing that when we are in bed together it’s only you, G-D and me
Knowing that nothing in the world can take my love from you
